Mindfulness is our natural present, open, quiet and alert state and has become largely veiled by our modern-day, conditioned busyness and distraction. Human minds are easily distracted, habitually examining past events and trying to anticipate the future. Becoming more aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations may not sound like an obviously powerful thing to do, however because such awareness suspends judgment and self-criticism, it can have an incredibly positive impact on the quality of our lives.

This Introduction to Mindfulness training has the goal of inspiring Leaders to begin their own personal Mindfulness practice and equipping them with the knowledge and tools to do just that. Using a highly experiential format, participants will learn and practice several forms of formal mindfulness practices in addition to experiencing the powerful impacts of mindful presence in connection to other. Mindful tools for use during everyday activities will also be taught so that the practice and its benefits can be applied immediately.
